High Time v2. Soon on TV

7 Jun

High Time is a youth-oriented program hosted by young and vibrant DJs. It talks about relevant topics and issues among the youth. It aims to inspire the listeners and to bring them closer to Christ. And after the successful first season, it will back for a second season!

DJs post a question or complete a statement that is related to the chosen topic. Listeners get to participate in the discussion through Twitter. The discussion then becomes God-centered and pastoral, as with everything around us leads back to Him.

Watch for it again this month from FLiQ Media.

Live Pure Live! Soon on TV

6 Jun

The Pinoy teen of the new millennium lives in a borderless society where every kind of information is just a click away. While Internet and TV are predominantly the main sources of entertainment and information, radio remains a favourite medium nowadays. In many ways, media has perpetuated a flurry of ideas manipulating the young mind’s perspective of who they should be.

With the advent and growing popularity of DJs like Papa Jack (True Love Conversations and Wild Confessions on 90.7 Love Radio), Francine Prieto (Xtra Xervice on 103.5 WOW FM) and Mo Twister (Good Times with Mo Podcast), the topic of human sexuality and love have long been argued, examined and talked about on air in a manner which can sometimes be misleading for the young. This media landscape has resulted in a generation of young people travelling on a winding path fogged by media’s illusions of what love, sex and relationships ought to be.

Hence, the answer of the Live Pure Movement is to create a radio show tackling the various issues, questions and dilemmas of young people when it comes to the same topics (of love, sex and relationships), and it will be tentatively called Live Pure Live!

The Review: Soon on TV

5 Jun

The Review as the name suggests includes a review of the latest trends, books, movies and events. Though its content may seem to have a primary target of young women, it will still remain relevant for all. It is important that there be a venue for catholic voices to be heard when media distorts values, and this TV / radio show aims to provide just that.

MDP Project and MDP Live! Soon on TV

4 Jun

The Modern Day Prophets brand has grown!

MDP Project is an online reality television show which aims to show that there is a prophet in every one of us; one that wants to speak the truth despite persecutions so that everyone would receive the invitation to experience God’s salvific love.

The show gathers youth and single men and women, well-grounded in their faith and convictions, to receive trainings and be given the opportunity to share how they see the truth in everyday things. This would allow the viewers to see that the Catholic faith is so alive and dynamic in the modern and secular world.

MDP LIVE is an offshoot of the Modern Day Prophet series but this time on radio. Its target audience is the youth so as to empower them as prophets from early on. Each episode carries a very relaxed and fun feel without compromising the catechism of the Catholic Church and personal reflections introduced to the show. The show will tap into the potential of many of the young, to see their everyday circumstances in the light of faith.

Family and Life Update: Soon on TV

3 Jun

In this weekly Family and Life Update (FALU) program, the hosts, with their featured guests will discuss and comment on news reports for the week about family and life issues in the Philippines and in Asia.

The program aims to put the spotlight on news that are often ignored by mainstream news media:  family and life issues. It will literally follow news in the Philippines and in Asia that are related to family and life, and then create a discussion on the most important news for the week.  In a general sense, the program will give a “follow-up” commentary on selected news stories.  By creating an awareness on family and life issues, FALU hopes that listeners can become better defenders of family and life.

White Votes WIN!

14 May

The White Vote Movement won! The results of the elections are coming in, and we see favorable results for our endorsed candidates.

wvm

Out of the six initially endorsed, we see 5 in the magic 12: Pimentel, Trillanes, Villar, Ejercito and Honasan. And the additional 4 endorsed sees one in the magic 12 (Binay) and 2 knocking on the door of 12 (Gordon and Zubiri). No doubt the WVM helped bring their numbers up. They all had their share of black propaganda and media attacks, but they pulled through. Catholics, united!

Thank you for your support. Keep being vigilant. And see you in 2016.
